A Scar to Remember
Heyy Everyone,
((WARNING: Do not read if you throw up when reading stuff explained really gorily and hearing about an epic wound that bleeds like crazy.))
well, none of you know this yet, but yesterday TOTALLY sucked. It's a terribly long story, but I'll try to keep it basic:
So I was riding my bike with my brothers and we were having a blast. Something about riding my bike, even if it is on my street, and even if I do have to where a helmet...something about it just makes me feel great. I think it's just having the wind in my face and knowing that nothing gets better than this...almost pure freedom.
So I was riding for, I'm gonna say thirty minutes, when suddenly, my left pedal got this huge bump in it. Turns out the plastic on the pedal broke, and the metal pole that held it on had went up through the plastic. I just shook it off and kept riding my bike without the pedal...just using the metal post instead. (BIG mistake D: ) After a couple minutes though, I just decided to go home and get my bike fixed. Well since I didn't think it was so bad to be missing a pedal, I took an extra turn to cross over to the sidewalk so I could cross again and go up the driveway to home.
Well when I took the extra turn, I was going downhill so I was going way too fast and couldn't brake in time. My foot had slipped off the pedal so my attention went away from steering and to getting my foot back on the pedal. Well since I wasn't paying attention, I totally crashed into the curb, full speed, and the force was actually so strong, that my bike just slammed into the curb and then actually drove over it and got up the sidewalk.
Yeah. So I thought everything was fine, ya know, I had felt something on my bike hit my leg, but I just thought I had gotten...just a tiny scratch, ya know? So I pulled my leg back to help me back out, because I had actually driven into the neighbors bushes after I got up the sidewalk.
Then I put my attention to my leg, because it felt really warm for some reason, but I didn't care. So I look down, expected a tiny scratch with, maybe a little bit of blood; right? And I look, and I'm standing in this huge puddle of blood, my leg completely covered in red, my other leg all splashed in blood, and my left shoe completely destroyed with the redness.
At first I thought I had like hit my head and gotten this weird dream, so I looked up and saw my brother riding his bike, staring at me. I looked down again and sure enough it was still bleeding, yup.
So I covered my hands over the gaping hole with blood oozing out of it, looked at my bro, and yelled, "DUDE! GET HELP!!!" He was all, "Lolwat??" And I practically screamed across the whole neighborhood, "GET DADDY HURRY!!!" Yeah I can't believe I actually screamed that in front of everyone. xD So my bro still didn't know what I was talking about, so he walked closer and then he was all, "Oh man, oh my, oh shhhhhhoot!" And he ran and got my dad.
So my dad came over, blah dee blah, he helped me walk over to the house, blood gushing everywhere, blah dee blah. Next thing I know, we're in the car, my mom is totally freaking out, and I'm just like, "Mom seriously, we don't need to go to the ER it's fine." But she was all going nuts so I just went along with it.
So we waited for, I'm going to say, an hour and a half before they called us up for paperwork. Then after another thirty minutes they called me back to see the nurse. Then, after waiting for about two more hours, they called me back to meet the doctor. Then, after thirty more minutes, the doctor finally finished his last operation and then it was my turn. Lucky me, huh?
Well it was actually really cool. The only part that hurt out of this WHOLE thing was the numbing shots. xD Nothing else hurt, I'm not kidding. Even when I got the wound, it didn't hurt it was so deep.
So I watched as he did stitches, seven of them, and then blah blah blah...I'm home. Finally. But it sucks. It's my first time having stitches, and only my second time at the hospital for my injuries.
So please pray or wish me luck or blah dee blah...I'm gonna go get my brothers to wait on me. xD

I hate stitches >.< I've had to get them twice; on my eyebrows because some girl threw a golf club at me, and then on the top of my head because I tripped and hit my head on this sharp pointy thing xDD.
It's weird you didn't feel anything when you actually got the cut o: I would of been freaking out if blood was gushing down my leg.. xD Sounds like you were a brave lady *gives sugar free lollipop* x]

Ugh, yeah, ikr?? Stitches are the worst. However, I thought it was quite cool watching a needle going into me and not feeling anything. xD But still, it hurt. >.< Wait, wait, wait. *re-reads the part about the girl throwing a golf club at you* Wow. Just, what the heck?! xD OMG I am so sorry lol. Why would someone do that?? xD And yeah, I just didn't think it was real. I didn't think something like that COULD happen to me. In fact, I was like two minutes away from getting back on my bike and riding some more. But when I tried to get on, my leg like...didn't work. OnQ
