Hope - a poemish thing that wasn't based on a true story, or at least that's what i tell everyone

You've moved on by now,
Guess that I should too.
You've got new friends,
And I did the same.

But I can't shake the feelings,
Can't forget the memories,
You're stuck with me, forever.

Why do I still text you,
I know you never reply.
Why do I still think of you,
When I'm never on your mind.
Why do I still look for you,
When I think you'll be around.
The question is...
Why do I even still care?

Well...because I am a foolish idiot who still believes in the pathetic and almost nonexistent world of Hope.
So there.
That's why I still text you,
Think of you,
Look for you,
And care.

Wish I could forget those times,
Those memories,
Future fears.
I would have forgotten them by now,
If only you weren't there.

Sitting in the back of my mind,
On my contacts in my phone.
But yet I'll never regret,
That fateful day,
When we met.

Though those times truly broke me,
Turned my heart to stone.
I'll never wish that though those years,
I went on that journey alone.
