Survive the Apocalypse - RP

You wake up one morning to the sound of a knock on your door. When you open the door there is nothing there but a green/brown capsule with a single button on it; and a small orange book. When you press the button, a holographic message pops up, and you hear this:

Hello,

This is a letter from the General, sir Grantwood, official firearms specialist and head military commander. There have been some very strange sightings near our temporary base number 9, and we are informing a handful of people to report to the base immediately. We will explain why we picked you when you get here. Please hurry, we are running out of time. Once you check in you will be escorted to an underground homing tunnel which we built back in 1948 for an emergency like this. You will be assigned to a random room in the tunnel, and will live there peacefully until further notified. Any attempts to escape could turn fatal within minutes. The booklet we have sent along with this message will explain any of your further questions. Please keep this capsule as it will connect you to our base at any time you may need to contact us.

Thank you for listening to this prerecorded message, please do whatever it takes to get you here, we really are trying to save your life.

What the Handbook Says

[Surviving the Apocalypse]

Some sightings of ours have been researched and tested thoroughly, and the answer came out loud and clear: The Apocalypse has arrived. Here are some dangerous things we are/going-to-be facing:

Extreme Weather > Unexplainable Tornadoes, Major Earthquakes, Sudden Temperature Change, Bizarre Waters.

Personal Things > Visions, Extreme and Unexplainable Pain, Rashes, Hair Loss, Damage to the Digestive System, Damage to the Lungs, Extreme Damage to the Brain, Brain Virus > See newly found illnesses

Creatures > Zombies, Werewolves, Unknown Creatures

Other > Major Exposes to Radioactivity, Color Changes (For instance, the sky may become green suddenly and the grass may become purple; of course signaling something about to happen), Any other strange or unnatural things...please alert us if you discover anything

Again, as stated above, please alert us if you discover anything new that is strange, unusual, or unnatural.

NEWLY FOUND ILLNESSES

Brain Virus - A zombie-like, microscopic worm that burrows deep beneath your skin and makes it's way to your brain. Once there, it will start to, not only destroy, but rearrange brain cells which, therefore: Makes things seem different from what they are. Your feelings might change suddenly, you may think someone is an enemy when they are really your friend, or you may become a totally different person...thinking wise.
SYMPTOMS OF THE BRAIN VIRUS - Wild headaches, bloody nose, blood blisters on your head and neck (from the burrowing), and change of hair color. If you experience any of these symptoms, please notify the commander at ONCE!

EPILOGUE

With this being a digital handbook, we will update it whenever something new is discovered. We want you to be up to date in what is happening with our world, so check your handbook frequently when confused or worried.

-AREAS-

Base 9 Main: The Main Room where everyone will go when called to hear a special announcement and such.

The Cafeteria: Where citizens and officials gather for meals throughout the day.

The Boarding Room: Where new citizens arrive and wait to be escorted to their rooms.

The Lounge: Where everyone can hang out and have fun...a place made to help them forget about the fear of the outside events.

The Frontier Rooms: Rooms labeled A - Z are in this area. These rooms are just next to the exit of the underground station. These rooms are made only for the Officials, so that they can escape and help others out in a reasonable amount of time.

ROOMS: *You may choose your room number* **Depending on your character's personality, s/he may be sent to different room areas**

(A) The X Zone: Rooms numbered 1 - 100 are in this area. This area is top class, where specially picked citizens may be sent to in order to train and become part of The Pak, which is a group of brave and adventurous citizens who go above ground in order to check out the area.

(B) The Dominables: Rooms numbered 101 - 250 are in this area. Where people who cause trouble are sent. It is a more controlled area with several more guards than the other areas.

(C) The Closure Hills: Rooms numbered 251 - 400 are in this area. Where citizens that seem to be a bit more scared and worried about the Apocalypse go. It's a restful place for them to relax and know that everything will be okay...probably.

(D) The Cage: Rooms numbered 401 - and up are in this area. The section of the underground base where everyone who doesn't fit into any other area goes. This is basically the main area.

-THE PAK-
To enlist in the Pak, just opt to join it in your form. Your character must have a personality for the Pak as well...courageous, adventurous, out-going, fierce, etc.

Character's Looks: Grace has dirty blonde hair that is slowly becoming a more pure shade of blonde from her time outside. It falls to her arm pits in natural, loose, spiral curls. Her eyes are a deep, chocolate shade of brown with several gold/amber flecks speckled within them. She has rather high cheek bones and a thin nose. She usually wears leather gloves on both hands that are splattered with dry blood, and she cut a hole for her thumbs and fingers. Grace prefers wearing plaid/checkered shirts with jeans, that usually have rips near the knees, along with brown combat boots.
Character's Personality: Grace comes off as a rude person, but it's not quite true. She prefers keeping her distance from people;; as she's afraid her short temper will snap, and she'll start screaming at anyone in sight. Grace isn't someone you want as an enemy. She won't hurt you physically, no, but she'll mess with you mentally, and physically if she needs to P: She's a bit of a natural-born leader, and she's the first one to lunge at an adventure. Grace cares deeply about the ones she loves, and has come close to loosing her life to save a loved one. If you become friends with her, you'll meet her sarcastic, wicked, sense of humor. Her idea of funny is probably different than yours. She tends to chuckle at other's pain and mistakes--something she isn't proud of. Grace doesn't get offended easily. You can make fun of her all you want-- but she'll usually shake it off at that moment, but then she'll come back and basically destroy you :3
Character Details: Grace typically has headphones around her neck that no longer work, and are rather cracked. She doesn't care though-- they just look neat to her. Grace stole it from a store while making her way towards base9.

Character's Looks: Tyler has shaggy dark brown hair that is almost always covering his eyes. His eyes are a bright, hopeful, shade of blue-- almost like an ocean or sea. Tyler's skin is average;; not quite tan, yet not so pale. He has several cuts, scars, and bruises running up and down his arms and legs, as well as a black eye. Tyler is pretty tall for his age; 6'2. He usually stands a few inches above everyone else in the crowd. Tyler moves quickly and gracefully, which helps him when he needs to climb or run.
Character's Personality: Tyler is an understanding and calm person. He prefers to be in charge and keep others under control. Tyler doesn't panic a lot, usually thinks out the situation before attacking. He is experienced in battles, and usually uses his wits-- not strength-- to win them. Tyler is normally the one giving others hope and calming them down in situations.
Character Details: Tyler tried taking his younger sister, Alice, with him to the camp, but along the way, they were faced with a pack of zombies. Tyler did his best to save her, but in the end, the zombies got her. He feels guilty everyday, and is never as happy as he used to be. Those close to him know this, and know that is never actually happy.
