- A Long, Long Sleep - Roleplay -

Based on Anne Sheehan's book: A Long, Long Sleep. You don't need to have read the book to join this role-play, even I haven't read it. xD My mom just told me about the book. :] It's set in the future, when a special sleep thing called Stasis sleep is invented. (It's where you can be put to sleep in this tube, and be awakened later on in a few weeks, months, years, etc. and still be the same age I guess.

-STORYLINE-

You live in a world full of modern day miracles. Many marvelous things have been invented, and all these things better your every day human life. However, when a disease spreads across your town, your parents decide to put you into stasis sleep. After being placed in the stasis bed, and being 'shut down', some people bring you downstairs to a room filled with many other people in stasis sleep. However, the disease wiped everyone out and you were never woken up from the stasis...until 64 years had passed. When someone finds you and awakens you, everyone and everything you ever knew in life is long gone, and you must re-discover life. You can barely walk, eat, or do anything; and basically must be taught how to do everything...all over again. So your first post should take place when someone wakes you up, and you can barely move...and then the role-play will just go on about you re-discovering life. ((I know it's kinda complicated, but just trust me. xD))

-CHARACTERS-

In this role-play, there are two different types of characters:

PERSON FROM THE PAST: Someone who has been put in the Stasis Sleep and has to re-discover everything, after being awoken 64 years later.

PERSON FROM THE PRESENT: This person can wake people up from Stasis, and teach them the new ways of life...or just be a regular citizen from the present.

Kyle rolled his eyes and walked next to her. "Ever think of answering me with OUT being such a smartie?" He smirked. Then patted her on the back. Mani cuddled closer to Reese as she rode the elevator up stairs.

"I have.. But then I decided not to." Jasey stuck her tongue out playfully as she leaned against the rail in the elevator.

Reese smiled down at Mani as the elevator came to a stop. He hurried out, gently pushing her along. Reese walked down the hallway until they arrived at their room. He turned the key and unlocked the door, and he quickly ran with Mani towards the couches. 'Home sweet home!" Reese shouted as he layed her down on the couch, setting her feet into his lap as he sat down.

Kyle glared at her, but couldn't hide his smile. He went inside their room and sat in a chair, watching the two love birds. "You love her Reese, just admit it once and for all."
Mani smiled and said, "His actions already have, Kyle. Now I think it's your turn to make a move." She nodded in Jasey's direction.

Mani laughed and said, "And you wonder what his parents are thinking right now." She did her impression of his parents by doing a facepalm.

Mani giggled and said, "Yes I can see just how talented your finger is." She smiled, then gasped suddenly. "Jasey!! You should go on America's Got Talent!!"

Mani giggled at Reese. Kyle stood up and said, "No, Jasey, she's onto something, you should totally audition!!" He looked at the t.v. screen. "Hey...aren't they about to do that week where they bring in the auditions from the YouTube shows? Jasey, this is your chance!" Kyle grinned at her widely.

Jasey waved her hand dismissively. "Naw.. I couldn't even film myself singing." She rolled her eyes.

"Oh, please. You have a whole box full of CDs of you singing." Reese piped up, smirking. "Go for it Jasey; you have... a small amount of talent." He smiled.

Mani smiled, "Yeah! Just try for it...I mean come on, what do you have to lose?" Kyle smirked and said, "Yeh. After all, you miss 100% of every chance you don't take..." He nodded in Liam's direction, "Mr. Math dude over there should be able to explain just how much 100% is." He chuckled.

"My pride." Jasey muttered, but she slowly ran into her room, grabbing the cardboard box full of CDS. She glanced at the title of each one, and stopped on the one labeled 'It's time'. It was a song she was particularity fond of, so she walked out into the room where the others were, holding it close. "..Here goes nothing, I guess." Jasey mumbled.

Mani clapped her hands excitedly and said, "Yay!" Noticing no one else was clapping, she slowly came to a stop and said, "No? No?! Okay..." She giggled and Kyle chuckled a bit before saying, "Atta girl Jasey." He smiled at her and gave her the thumbs up sign.

"Yeah yeah." Jasey grabbed her brother's laptop and uploaded the CD onto to it. The song began playing softly, and Jasey quickly muted it. She uploaded it to Youtube, sending it to the America's Got Talent channel. "Blech." Jasey closed the laptop, throwing herself onto the couch. "When can we open presents?"

Kyle chuckled and said, "When it's time...patience, gosh." He smirked and said, "Or...we can open them early...?"

Jasey made a puppy dog face. "Early!" She shouted, smiling.

Kyle shrugged and then said, "I'm okay with that...everyone else, cool with that?" Mani, Shay, and Seth nodded eagerly.

Jasey, Liam, Emma, and Reese nodded. "Who wants to go first?' jasey asked, humming a song.

Kyle made a waving motion with his hand and said, "Ladies first." Mani smiled and said, "Ah, what a gentlemen." Shayla giggled and said, "Okay, not it." She smiled. Mani shouted, "NOT IT!"

Mani handed over her presents confidently. Shayla's phone rang, and while talking to her friend across the street, she handed Jasey her presents. Seth tossed her his present, and Kyle gingerly gave Jasey her present from him, hoping she liked it. Hey, he didn't care if she even liked it. He just hoped she didn't tear it to shreds when she saw it.

Jasey opened each of the presents, each time a smile appeared on her face. She hugged all of them, even Kyle. "Thanks, guys." Jasey placed Kyle's song in her pocket, giving him a thankful glare. She hugged all of them again, for good measure. "Who next?" Jasey smiled, placing her presents on the coffee table.

Shayla snapped her fingers to the beat of the music she was listening to on her phone, and sang, "I, I, I, I will!" Embarrassed a bit, she took everyone's presents gingerly, and made sure to make a big deal out of being totally beyond words she was so excited at her new gifts. She even faked crying a bit, just to show how happy she was. After opening everything, she laughed unstoppably and said, "Alright...Emma? You wanna go next?"
